Watts, born 28 September 1968 was a British actress from Britain. Following the
move of her family to Australia, Watts made her film debut there with For Love
Alone (1986). Then she appeared in three television shows: Hey Dad.. (1990) The
Brides of Christ(91), as well as Home and Away (91), and Flirting (1991). Watts
was a failed actress when she first came to the United States. She acted in
small-scale movies and eventually became an actress. She gained international recognition
through this character. Watts played the role of the journalist who is
depressed in The Ring, a horror film that was remade. Her performance as a
mother with grief in Alejandro's 21 Grams (2003) was nominated for an Academy
Award. Her star power has grown when she appeared in I Heart Huckabees (2004).
King Kong (2006), Eastern Promises ((2007)) and The International (2009). Watts
was nominated for an Academy Award as Best Actress for her role in The
Impossible (2012). In the 2010s, she appeared in films such as Birdman (2014)
St. Vincent (2014) St. Vincent (2015), While We're Young (2016), The Glass
Castle (2017) and Luce (2018). Watts also continued to appear in blockbusters,
and made appearances in the Divergent franchise (2015-2016).
