Cattrall, born 21 August 1956, is a British-Canadian actress. Her character as
Samantha Jones in HBO's Sex and the City (1998-04) is the most well-known of
her roles. She won five Emmy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award
nominees. In 2002, she was awarded the Golden Globe for Best Supporting
Actress. She reprised her role in the films Sex and the City (2008) and Sex and
the City 2 (2010). Cattrall first appeared in Rosebud (1975) and later was able
to take on various roles on television. In films such as Ticket To Heaven
(1981), Police Academy (1984), Hold-Up (85) (also known as City Limits(85), Big
Trouble in Little China [86The Mannequin [86 Mannequin(1987), Mannequin (1987),
Masquerade in 1988), Midnight Crossing in 1989 and The Return of the Musketeers
in 1989, she became known as a household name. Tribute (1980), Porky's (81) The
Turk 182(85), and Baby Geniuses (999) were just a few of the occasions she
starred with Bob Clark. Additional credits include The Bonfire of the Vanities
(1990), Star Trek VI The Undiscovered Country (91), Split Second (1992), Above
Suspicion (95) and 15 Minutes (192001).
