Markie Post

Markie Post was born in Walnut Creek, California. She began her career in television and film productions such as "Card Sharks" (1978) or "The New Card Sharks” (1986). Later, she was the producer of projects such as Double Dare (1976). She has also been featured on TV programs such as 1st to Die (2003) and E! True Hollywood Story (1996) and Electra Woman (2000). Her most famous TV role was that of "Christine Sullivan" in Night Court (1984). From 1984 until 1992 she was in 156 episodes. Daughter of Marylee (Armstrong) Post, poet and noted nuclear physicist Richard Freeman Post (November 14 1918 - April 7 15th, 2015). There were two daughters she had with her husband, Michael A. Ross: Katie Ross (born June 26, 1987) and Daisy Ross (born March 30 and died on March 30, 1990). Born in Palo Alto, California and was raised in Walnut Creek. She attended Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek, California; she was a cheerleader. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts at Lewis & Clark College, Portland Oregon. She was an act in The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). The body was cremated and the remains were given to her husband Michael A. Ross. She was a lifetime Democrat. Markie Post passed away on August 7, 2021. She was three months away from what would be her 71st birthday on November 4. She was just 27 days from Charles Robinson, Night Court (1984) which was her co-star , who died on July 11 2021. While the two shows were completely unrelated, Night Court (1984) was cancelled in 1992 when her character Christine Sullivan, leaving for Washington DC, and Hearts Afire (1992) started in the same year, with Post playing a new character Georgie, who was also a part of Washington DC (and later moving to a more rural town).
