Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel Sofer is an American actor,
best known for her roles on live television, episodic guest appearances and
made-for-television films. Sofer won the Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for her
role as Lois Cerullo on the soap opera General Hospital. Quinn Fuller has been
her character on CBS's soap the show The Bold and The Beautiful since 2013.
Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter of Susan Sofer, a
psychology professor, and Martin Sofer, a Conservative rabbi. Following the
divorce of her parents the family relocated to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In
1970, Sofer and her brother David and her father to Teaneck in New Jersey. They
resided in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer was five years old. They were raised
in Ambridge, Pennsylvania by their father, Beth Samuels Jewish Center. In the
following years, she attended the Frisch School in Paramus, New Jersey, which
is an co-educational Mordern Orthodox Jewish high-school. Sofer was born in
North Bergen, New Jersey. Her father was the rabbi at Temple Beth El. She
completed her studies at North Bergen High School, and then went to Montclair
State College. Sofer first played Lois Marie Cerullo on General Hospital. In
1993, she was the manager of the band. But her first big role was that of Rocky
McKenzie in the daytime soap opera Loving (1988-91). One of her most well-known
roles is that of Lois Cerullo, a nurse on General Hospital from December 15
from 1993 until September 24 the 24th of September, 1996. Later, she was guest
actor (February 7-17, 1997; September 30 - October 2, 1997). In 1995, Sofer won
a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress on an Drama Series for
her portrayal as Lois. Sofer joined CBS's soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful
as Quinn Fuller, a role she created just. The first episode aired in July 2013.
Sofer has appeared on several notable primetime TV series in a guest
star/supporting cast member rolessuch as Seinfeld, Melrose Place, The
Chronicle, Ed, Friends, Spin City, Blind Justice, Ghost Whisperer, 24, NCIS,
and Two and a Half Men.
