Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy (born November 25 in 1968) is a Canadian actress and singer. Her roles on American television shows Law & Order were three-seasons long. Crossing Jordan lasted six seasons. Jordan Cavanaugh was her leading character. She was also a part of films such as RoboCop 3 & Most Wanted as well as independent films Chutney Popcorn & The Acting Class. The movie was written and directed by her. Hennessy was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy, John's father, was a meat and marketing sales and marketing executive. The job required significant travel and meant that the family was required to relocate frequently. Maxine, Maxine's secretary mother, left the family in 1982. Eleanor, Eleanor's paternal grandmother, looked after her daughter, who lived in Kitchener. John Paul Hennessy Jr. is her younger brother. Jacqueline is her identical twin sister and is a journalist from Canada and host. Hennessy is of Irish, French, Swedish and Italian heritage on her father's side and mainly Ukrainian Roma, as well as Austrian and Austrian ancestry from her mother's. She was educated at Stanley Park Senior Public School and then was a graduate of Grand River Collegiate Institute in Kitchener, Ontario and busked in the Toronto subway. The actress was nominated for the role of Dana Scully on The X-Files according to Gillian Anderson, the actress who eventually got the role.She made an appearance on Broadway in the musical Buddy the Musical - The Buddy Holly Story in 1990.In 1993, she starred as Dr. Marie Lazarus in RoboCop 3.In 1993, Dick Wolf signed Hennessy as an assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid in the NBC crime drama Law & Order. The role lasted for three seasons, before leaving the series as an actor in the year 1996.
