Deborah Rhea Seehorn was conceived in Norfolk, Virginia on May 12 on the 12th of May, 1972. Her mother was an executive secretary of the United States Navy, her father was an agent of the Naval Investigative Service. The family resided in Washington, D.C., Arizona, Japan, and was frequently moved throughout her youth. Following in the footsteps of her father and grandmother, she studied painting, drawing and building from a young age. As she pursued her love of the visual arts, she also discovered a passion for acting. She was also introduced to modern theater in college. In 1994 she graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art. While at college, Seehorn was looking to be a theater actor, following the encouragement from her acting instructor. She attempted to make her mark through various ancillary jobs in D.C. theater. She managed to land the most important parts in local theatre productions. But she needed to find odd jobs to earn a living. To pay for the expenses, she took on parts in short industrial instructional films. Soon, she began to be cast in more television productions, frequently playing roles that she considered as "very humorous, sarcastic, and well-informed women", similar to her idol Bea Arthur. Most of these roles ended up being ended after two or three seasons. Seehorn was played by Kim Wexler for the Breaking Bad prequel series Better Call Saul in May 2014. Seehorn portrays Kim Wexler, a lawyer and love interest of the main Jimmy McGill/Saul Bestman (Bob Odenkirk).
