Lea Katherine Thompson

Thompson was born in Rochester, Minnesota on May 31, 1961. She is one of five children of Clifford Thompson and Barbara Barry Thompson and Barbara Barry Thompson. Thompson is the older sister of Coleen Goodrich (and Shannon Katona) and two younger brothers, Barry and Andrew. Her mother hails from Ireland. Mikhail baryshnikov was the artistic director at the time, said to her "You're a lovely dancer however, you're a bit bulky." She described the moment as "my epiphany" which led her to give up dancing and to become a ballet dancer. It was an amazing moment because I was able to bang my head on the wall for 10 years.
