Aaron Jeffery

Award-winning New Zealand actor Aaron C. Jeffery is from Australia. He is best
known for his role in the film Terry Watson in Water Rats, as Alex Ryan in
McLeod's Daughters and as Matt "Fletch" Fletcher in Wentworth. He was
born in Howick, Auckland, Jeffery moved to Australia at the age of 17 and
enrolled in acting at NIDA. He received his NIDA degree in 1993. After that was
his first television career working on the children's show Ship to Shore.
Jeffery is well-known for his character on McLeod's Daughters as Alex Ryan. He
left the show in 2008. He was also part of the third season of the New Zealand
drama Outrageous Fortune. Jeffery was the lead character Frank in Underbelly:
Badness. On June 22 it was the day he finished filming. Three days later
Jeffery was announced as Bradley Fox's replacement on Neighbours for a period
of two months. In October, it was revealed that Jeffery was assigned as a
corrections officer in the television series Wentworth. Bevan Lee's show Between
Two Worlds starred Jeffery. In April of 2021, it was announced that Jeffery
will be a part of Pieces of Her, a Netflix thriller series adapted from the
Karin Slaughter book. As a result of his role in McLeod's Daughters, Jeffery
was awarded the Silver Logie for Most Popular Drama Series Actor in 2004 and
2007.
